About the Role
We are seeking a Security Solutions Consultant with strong expertise in the Microsoft Defender suite to design, implement, and optimize integrated security solutions for our clients. This role focuses on defending identities, devices, and cloud workloads across Microsoft 365 and Azure. You will act as a trusted advisor, combining technical depth with consulting skill to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and deliver measurable risk reduction and business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise-grade security solutions leveraging Microsoft Defender technologies.
- Conduct security assessments, workshops, and proof of concepts, translating business requirements into secure, practical technical designs.
- Deploy and optimise Defender solutions including:
- Defender for Endpoint
- Defender for Office 365
- Defender for Identity
- Defender for Cloud Apps
- Ensure full integration and best-practice configuration across the Defender suite.
- Integrate security telemetry across Defender, Entra, and Sentinel for unified visibility and response.
- Collaborate with Practice Leads to shape client proposals, estimates, and technical statements of work.
- Stay current with Microsoft’s evolving security roadmap and continuously enhance both your own expertise and that of our wider Operations team.
- Create clear documentation, implementation guides, and operational runbooks to support implementation and transition to support.
- Contribute to internal frameworks, standards, and reusable assets that elevate delivery quality and consistency.
- Assist Sales and Practice Leads on an ad hoc basis with presales engagements related to Microsoft Defender.

Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years experience in security consultancy or engineering with demonstrable delivery of Microsoft Security Solutions.
- Proven track record in Defender suite design, deployment, and optimisation across enterprise environments.
- Experience delivering integrated Microsoft Security Solutions combining identity and threat protection.
- Excellent consulting and communication skills; able to translate complex security concepts for both technical and business audiences.
- Experience working in Professional Services or customer-facing delivery, managing multiple engagements concurrently.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications highly desirable (e.g., SC-200, SC-100, SC-300, AZ-500).
- Understanding of security governance and risk frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS, GDPR, NIS2).
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across teams to drive technical and operational excellence.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French fluency a plus.
