How does the mobco trade-in program work?

You can calculate the residual value of your devices through the online calculation tool on this website. Once the traded-in devices are received and inspected and they comply with the pre-defined criteria, a credit is issued which can be used to order new Apple iPads or Macs.

Who can participate in this trade-in program?

Businesses registered with a VAT-number in the BELUX-region.

Who can participate in this trade-in program?

Businesses with Belgian VAT-number or organisations that are exempted from a VAT-number but have an official address in Belgium.

What devices are eligible for trade-in?

Only company-owned devices are considered. Check the calculation tool to make sure your devices are eligible. You can trade-in iPhone, iPad, Mac and ‘Other’ non-Apple devices through the trade-in portal.

How do I get a quote?

You get a credit to purchase a new Apple Mac or iPad.

Device Preparation & Data Transfer

How do I prepare my device for trade-in?

Devices must be packed securely inside cardboard or plastic tote boxes and ideally shrink wrapped. Ensure devices cannot move around in the box – use bubble wrap or equivalent packaging. Print and attach the Shipping Labels to the boxes – these will be emailed to you by the courier. Ensure there is NO reference to the nature of the contents on the outside of the boxes and that the package is easy to collect, on the lower level of the building or post room.

Make sure devices are removed from Apple Business Manager or Samsung Knox.

Do I need to return accessories to get the full trade-in value?

Returning any kind of accessories won’t have a positive impact on the residual trade-in value. Taking into consideration your ecological footprint, we recommend re-using your accessories as much as possible.

What happens to my devices once collected?

Your device will be inspected to make sure they are in the same state as indicated in the calculation tool. If devices are not received in ‘as described condition’, we will either send you a revised final quote for a lower or higher value or arrange for a return of the relevant products.

How do you keep my information safe and secure?

SIM Cards & Memory Cards: Any SIM cards or memory cards will be removed from the mobile devices upon receipt and destroyed.

Mobile Devices: Data Erasure may be achieved by the following methods;
– Third party data erasure tool
– Manual data erasure
– Destruction

Third Party Data Erasure Tool: Data is automatically erased by connecting a device to a third party data erasure tool such as Piceasoft or Blackbelt. Seamless integration between CMR systems and the third party tool ensures that certified Data Erasure Certificates are generated for each and every Mobile Device processed.

Manual Data Erasure: Data is erased by our team manually by carrying out a full factory reset on the Mobile Device in line with the manufacturers recommended guidelines. We have comprehensive controls in built into our system ensuring that the data wiping is completed and have full audit trail of when the data erasure took place along with the individual that completed it. Manual Data Erasure Certificates are generated by our system for every Mobile Device going through this process.
